FATHER'S DAY
We had a great Father's Day weekend last weekend celebrating your favorite human (your dad) + both grandfathers! We dined with grandpa, naenae and uncle Eric Saturday night then brunched with grandpa and grams on Sunday at Weaver Street.
All in all though, sadly, it has been a hard week for you baby girl! Last Friday you had your first big fall. We were at Community Center park when you tripped on the play structure and busted your lip and gum. On the inside I was hysterical when I saw you bleeding, but managed to hold it together to comfort you and rush you to your pediatrician, who announced that you would be fine and gave you some baby Tylenol. Tuesday morning, after a great weekend, you gave us another scare when you woke up with a fever (your very first)! It would last several days and would require another trip to the pediatrician who checked out your throat and ears (they were fine) and gave you a strep test (it was negative). We're not entirely sure if the fever was caused by teething or a mild infection, but we are sure we were thrilled when you woke up this morning fever-free and acting more like yourself!
This week was also big in that several of our closest friends welcomed babies into their families! Auntie Sherry and uncle Gideon welcomed a baby girl, named Iris, on Sunday afternoon. And Randi and Danny welcomed a baby girl, Maribel, on Wednesday morning. We can't wait for you to meet them and anticipate many slumber parties and outings in your futures!
